From being the manicurist of a cam model to being the cam model herself: meet XhannaxX

Hanna has dreams, goals, and wishes like any other girl. The difference is that, at her young age, she already achieved big part of them when she crowned herself Model of the Month last July on Stripchat.

This 24-year-old Venezuela-born didn’t have it easy in her beginnings. Her childhood and adolescence were full of hardships until she decided to travel to Colombia at only 17 with her mom, in hopes to have a better future.

Fast forward 7 years, she’s still living in Colombia, chasing her dreams with the persistence and discipline she acquired throughout the years, and enjoying the webcam modeling life. We sat with her to discuss her career, future plans, and life in general.

How did you get into the industry? Was it easy?

The first time I heard about “webcam” was back when I was working as a manicurist. One of my clients was a webcam model and she told me about this world.

My start was kind of abrupt, because I didn’t know much about the industry and the job itself, I thought that it was all about being seated in front of a camera. I was a very innocent girl back then, so I got myself some bad counseling and was also a victim of a scam (I worked my first 4 months but never got paid for them).

That’s when I decided to do everything by myself, without any help, and from that moment on I started seeing the fruits I was bearing. For this reason, I consider my first steps in the webcam world kind of rocky.

What was one of the hardest parts of being a webcam model? And the most rewarding?

I think that one of the toughest parts is the patience you must have, because there’s a lot of hours, days, and even months where you might not see results. I consider myself a very impatient person, so for me that was challenging, since I wanted to see fast results.

Being disciplined was another one of my weaknesses. You’re your own boss so you have no one to manage your times and working hours, it’s completely on you, and that’s something hard to handle. I had to sacrifice lots of family time for hours of work, which was very hard to do in my case.

On the other hand, being a webcam model changed my life and my family’s life 360 degrees, so I’m forever grateful for that. I love my job!

Why did you choose Stripchat?

Before Stripchat, I was working on other sites, but in my opinion Stripchat is the best of all. The interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate, there’s no need to know coding set up your bots, goals, tip menu, etc.

Another thing I love about the site is the ranking system for models. It helps keep you motivated and trying to get better. It’s a very good thing to better yourself.

Do you see yourself doing this long term?

Sincerely, yes. I don’t see a future where I quit being a model because it’s something that I enjoy a lot and that it’s already a part of me. I just can’t fathom the idea of not doing this for a living.

What’s the most bizarre request you got from a user?

The list is too long, but the one I always tell as an anecdote, is then a user took me to Private and he just made me change my outfit a couple of times. He didn’t like to see me naked.

What’s something about yourself that nobody would expect to be true?

That I’m very unorganized and I’m the embodiment of chaos. I like to throw my clothes around and leave them wherever they land. I have always been like that, and even though I tried to change, I never succeeded.

I see that you like cosplay and you include it in your shows. How did you discover this world and what’s the thing you like the most about it?

I love it and I really enjoy anime shows. Whenever the new season of my favorite anime shows airs, I always try to make time in my day to watch it. What I love the most about it is that there are tons of characters that you can do a cosplay of, and the excitement of dressing up as your favorite character is something unmatched.

What 3 things you cannot live without?

My phone, because I’m addicted to social media and my music.
My TV to watch my series, anime shows, and play my music.
My jewelry, because I feel very uncomfortable when I’m not wearing it.

What’s your biggest dream in life?

To be a renowned model worldwide. I want Hanna to be an inspiration and an example of self-improvement for other women who also want to enter the webcam modeling world.

What does it mean to you to snatch a spot as Model of the Month?

I have mixed feelings about it because I don’t think I should get all the credit; it was also thanks to my users who supported me and believed in me with no second thoughts.

On the other hand, seeing the long hours online and even the 24-h shifts pay off was a great achievement.

Getting that medal was one of my goals, but I never thought I would get it so soon in my career as a webcam model on Stripchat.

What’s a piece of advice that you would give other girls thinking to start off as webcam models?

I would tell them that being a webcam model is a very long process and you will only see results in the long run, but if you add perseverance, determination, and discipline, you will go a long way and it might change your life. I speak from experience, and what I always say is DON’T BE AFRAID OF SUCCESS!
